Pretoria, 26 September, 2019.- Between September 23 and 25, the VI African Regional Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba took place in Abuja, Nigeria, under the slogan "Hands out of Cuba", in rejection of the aggressive escalation of the United States Government against Cuba. More than 150 delegates from 20 nations participated.
The first of these important meetings was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1995 and was attended by the leader of that nation Nelson Mandela. On this occasion, South Africa supported Cuba again, participating in the Meeting with a large delegation led by the Second Deputy Secretary General of the Communist Party, Chris Matlhako "Che", high representatives of various Unions and other solidarity organizations with Cuba.
