The 60th Anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution was celebrated in Mongolia.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. January 8, 2019. With the presence of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Hon. BATMUNKH BATTSETSEG, the official commemoration for the 60th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution took place in this city. The reception was also attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Mongolia, the Cuba - Mongolia Friendship Association, the Association of Mongolian Graduates in Cuba, the Mongolian Association for Peace and Friendship, as well as the small community of Cubans residing in this country.

The Cuban Ambassador, Raul Delgado Concepción recalled that on a similar date, on January 8, 1959, exactly 60 years ago, our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz entered with the guerrilla forces in the city of Havana. In his words, he summarized 60 years of the Revolution and what it represents for Cubans and for many peoples in the world as an example of unlimited solidarity and constant struggle to achieve a better and more just society for our people, a truly democratic Revolution, of the people and for the people.

The ambassador also referred to the good relations of friendship between Cuba and Mongolia; and highlighted the collaboration between both countries, which although modest, is based on 59 years of diplomatic relations. On behalf of the government and people of Cuba, he also thanked the Government of Mongolia for its continued support for the resolution condemning the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba.

He concluded by emphasizing the spirit of continuity in the struggle of our people: "60 years and a single Revolution, which will continue in the unity of all Cubans guided by the principles of sovereignty and independence."

On behalf of the Government of Mongolia, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Hon. BATMUNKH BATTSETSEG, congratulated the government and the people of Cuba for the 60th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution and noted the high level of diplomatic relations between both countries, which will be 60 years in 2020. In her words, she referred to the areas of cooperation that have been developed in recent years, highlighting how the Mongols are benefiting from the achievements of Cuban science, in reference to the Cuban product "Heberprot-P", which the Mongolian hospitals began to implement from 2018.

The commemoration took place in a festive atmosphere, in which there were many expressions of admiration, gratitude and recognition for Cuba and its Revolution, as well as for the progress made in the development of bilateral relations. (EmbaCuba Mongolia)
