Helsinki, December 26, 2023.- The Cuban Embassy in Finland hosted a cultural evening this Saturday in commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, accompanied by Latin American ambassadors, leaders of political forces, members of the Cuban community and the Finland-Cuba Association, among other friends of the Island in this Nordic nation.
In her welcoming words, Ambassador Beatriz Parra González expressed the solidarity support received by Cuba from Finland and dedicated a few words of gratitude to the Finland-Cuba Friendship Association that recently made the "60th Anniversary" trip to Cuba, at which time they carried out work solidarity in medical institutions and brought a medical donation to the Pediatric Cancer Hospital in Havana, as part of their tour of the Island.
The event was attended by the ambassadors of Mexico, Colombia and the sister nation of Palestine, the President of the Finland-Cuba Friendship Association and representatives of this organization in Turku and Helsinki, as well as members of the community of Cuban residents and friends of Cuba in this Nordic nation.
The cultural part of the meeting was animated by the "Palo pa Rumba" Trio that performed well-known pieces from the traditional Cuban repertoire such as "Hasta Siempre Comandante", "La Guantanamera", "Yolanda" and others from the country's eastern culture such as changui " Nengón" among others.
With this activity, the Cuban headquarters made the annual summary of its activities in Finland and thanked the friends of Cuba for the collaboration offered to the Embassy during 2023.
