Pretoria, August 22, 2025.- The Cuban Embassy in South Africa commemorated the 65th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) with a hearfelt political and cultural event. Tribute was paid to the organization's historic leader, Vilma Espín, and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz was also remembered, who always advocated and fought for the rights of Cuban women.
The main achievements of the FMC over the past 65 years were recalled, and the organization's hard work to achieve gender equality and the full protection of the rights of women, girls, and adolescents was recognized.
With music by Silvio Rodríguez paying tribute to Cuban women, this milestone was celebrated in Pretoria.
