Roseau, August 13, 2025 - In a ceremony full of gratitude, the Cuban State Mission in Dominica celebrated this Wednesday the 99th anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz. The ceremony brought together members of the Cuban Medical Brigade and Embassy staff.
The activity began with the projection of a video about the life of the Commander in Chief, which showed important stages of his life. Subsequently, several of the attendees shared personal anecdotes of meetings with Fidel, recounting moments of closeness, his humane treatment and his genuine interest in the work of Cuban doctors and aid workers in any part of the world.
The 99th anniversary of Fidel Castro's birth is being commemorated throughout Cuba and in several countries, as a prelude to the celebrations for the centenary of his birth, which will take place in 2026.
