African Political Parties Reaffirm Solidarity with Cuba

Pretoria, March 13, 2026.—Around 28 African political parties and progressive organizations signed a strong declaration of solidarity with the people and government of Cuba in response to recent threats and acts of aggression by the United States against the island.

In an inspiring virtual meeting, comrades from across the continent reaffirmed their support for the Cuban Revolution, which, in their words, “contributed so much to the freedom of the region.” This gesture confirms an undeniable truth: Africa and Cuba are bound by indestructible historical ties.

The Cuban ambassador, who participated in the meeting, expressed our people’s gratitude to our African brothers and sisters for always standing by Cuba.
