The Ambassador and the Third Secretary exchanged with Adrian Medina, Director of Baseball5 in NSW, and a member of the Cuban community living in Australia

Canberra, 9 February 2024. The Cuban resident in Australia, Adrian Medina, exchanged with Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez and the Third Secretary in charge of Consular Affairs, Ivianes González.

The meeting took place at the Cuban Embassy in Australia as part of the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Cuban Baseball Federation and the New South Wales Baseball League.

Medina, who serves as director of Baseball 5 in the state of New South Wales, has maintained a constant exchange with the diplomatic mission and has significantly contributed to the conclusion of the agreement between both entities.

The Cuban officials ratified the importance that Cuba attributes to the development of sports and thanked Adrian Medina for his praiseworthy work in promoting the practice of Baseball 5 in Australia.

They also stressed the importance of this kind of activities which promote and consolidate the ties between Cuba and its residents living in Australia.
