His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, received the Cuban Ambassador Oscar Leon Gonzalez, who concludes his functions in the friendly country.
The Head of State conveyed greetings and good wishes to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and underscored his aspiration that bilateral relations between the two friendly countries make further progress.
For his part, the Cuban Ambassador thanked all the support received from the local authorities for the success of his functions and conveyed as well greetings from the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and President Díaz-Canel. He also wished further progress in the friendly relations between the two countries.
Cuba and Qatar are friendly countries that promote excellent cooperation in health, which is a worldwide reference to South-South cooperation. In their more than three decades of diplomatic ties, both countries have developed several projects in other sectors, and the respective authorities are currently promoting the consolidation and development of friendly relations.
