Ambassador of Cuba in Dominica meets with members of the builders brigade.

Roseau August 22, 2019. The Ambassador of Cuba in Dominica, Ulises Arranz Fernández, replaced a meeting today, August 22, 2019, with the 53 members of the builders brigade that remain in Dominica, after the government of this sister nation will request an extension of several months to continue their work in the recovery of the country after the passage of Hurricane Maria in September 2017.

During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated all the members of the brigade for the work done and for their altruism in responding to the request of the government of Dominica. He provided information on the current situation in Cuba and how the country faces the measures taken by the Trump administration to redress the blockade against Cuba; despite which our country continues to make progress on the road to development.

The Cuban builders brigade in Dominica will finish its work soon after remaining for more than a year working on the reconstruction of schools, social centers, homes and infrastructure in the country after the passage of Hurricane Maria.
