Canberra, 15 June, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia held a meeting with members of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba. The meeting, held at the Cuban Embassy in Canberra, was attended by several members of the Australian Parliament who are members of the group and have worked for several years in support of the Caribbean nation.
During the meeting, different topics were discussed, mainly proposals to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in areas of common interest such as education and health. On behalf of the parliamentarians, the President of the group, Mrs. Sharon Claydon, thanked for the opportunity of the meeting and reaffirmed the commitment to continue strengthening the work of the parliamentary group and the relations between the two countries.
