Dublin, May 2018. Cuban Ambassador Hugo René Ramos Milanés received the visit of Michael Donnelly, President of the Workers' Party, at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Ireland, who after wishing success in the mission assigned to the diplomatic representative, ratified the traditional solidarity of its political organization with the Cuban Revolution and the Communist Party of Cuba.
Ramos Milanes and Donnelly held an extensive exchange on various events of international situation, showing a high level of agreement on many issues. During the meeting they also exchanged views on the prospects for the development and expansion of bilateral cooperation between Cuba and Ireland. Donnelly made evident the disposition of his Party to collaborate actively in that noble endeavor
The Cuban Ambassador expressed the profound gratitude of the Cuban people to the militancy and leadership of the Workers' Party for the sustained solidarity to put an end to the commercial and financial economic blockade imposed by the US government on the Cuban people for nearly six decades.
