Roseau, January 24, 2020. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the Commonwealth of Dominica, Ulises Arranz Fernández, held a meeting today, January 24, 2020, with the Minister of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment, Honourable Dr. Irving Mcintyre, in his office at the Ministry. The Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Environment with specific responsibility for the Environment Ivor Stephenson and the Permanent Secretary Letitia Lestrade, were also present.
During the meeting, topics of mutual interest in the field of health were reviewed, in which there has been a cuban cooperation for several years that has been increasing, especially after the passage of Hurricane Maria, at which time health professionals from Cuba were present to attend the health of the population.
The meeting served to verify the excellent level of relations between the two countries, especially in this important social field, as well as to identify the actions to be developed with the aim of expanding and strengthening them in the immediate future.
