The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia attended an event on tourist reopening

The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, attended the "Open Up Mongolia" event, to introduce the tourism recovery action in this country. It was organized by the Ministries of Environment and Tourism, Culture and Foreign Affairs and was attended by their Ministers.

The activity included a cultural segment in which several renowned artists, Cultural Ambassadors of the nation, displayed their art and the diverse and rich traditions of this country. There was also a colorful show of traditional costumes with contemporary touches.

On the occasion, the Cuban diplomat spoke with the new Minister of Environment and Tourism, Hon. Mr. B.Bat-Erdene. He congratulated him on his recent appointment and wished him success at the helm of tourism, which local authorities see that plays a crucial role in boosting the Mongolian economy.

Both parties chatted on tourism in both countries that share cultural tourism and ecotourism as modalities and the possibilities of cooperation. The Cuban representative also informed him about the upcoming 40th International Tourism Fair FITCuba2022 to be held in May on Varadero beach.
