Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia delivered a conference on his country at the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia

The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, delivered a conference on Cuba at the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia. The activity was chaired by its Director, Brigadier General Begz Davaadorj.

The conference dealt with the history of Cuba, relations with Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as with Asia and Oceania, in particular with this country, as well as the historical differend with the US, the blockade and other current issues.

The participants were also interested in other questions, among others, about the opinion on the UN peacekeeping operations and the sectors with perspectives to develop bilateral relations.

This institution conducts analyzes on issues of foreign policy and national and economic security.

Since 2014, it has also organized the well-known "Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on the security of Northeast Asia" that brings together academics and diplomats from various parts of the world, experts in international politics and security.
