The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, delivered a conference on Cuba country and its relations with that Asian nation at the School of International Relations and Public Administration of the National University. A group of teachers and students attended.
The diplomat gave an overview of Cuban history, the roots and the historical dispute with the US, including its blockade policy, as well as Cuba's relations with the world, with Asia and the Pacific and with Mongolia.
He recounted the circumstances of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the opening of embassies of Cuba and Mongolia, the features of those ties, the main sectors of bilateral exchange and their perspectives.
The participants were interested to know the Cuba's position on the situation in Ukraine, as well as on relations with Russia and China after the disintegration of the socialist countries block and the Soviet Union in the 1990s.
