Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia meets with the Head of the International Relations Department of the Mongolian People's Party

The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, held a courtesy meeting with Mr. Tselmuun Manlaijav, Head of the International Relations Department of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP).

The two interlocutors discussed the current situation in their respective countries, the activities of both parties and the long-standing historical ties of friendship between the two countries and peoples. They also exchanged information on the upcoming Asian Party Conference in Mongolia.

The Mongolian Party leader referred to the revival economic policy, approved by his 30th Congress in December 2021, for the recovery and development of the country's economy. He also elaborated on the priority that his party gives to human rights and the fight against corruption.

The Cuban ambassador explained the control of Covid19 in our country thanks to Cuban vaccines, as well as Cuba's principled position on the conflict in Ukraine. He also referred to the growing aggressiveness of the US against Cuba and the opportunistic intensification of its economic, commercial and financial blockade, in the midst of the pandemic.

Likewise, he made reference to the work of the Cuban Party to evaluate the state of fulfillment of the agreements of its last Congress, through the integral visits of the leadership of the Central Committee to the provinces and the celebration of the Municipal Balance Assemblies.

He also reported on the preparations and activities of the Party, the unions, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples and political, mass and social organizations to celebrate International Workers' Day.

Both parties agreed that the two countries share similar challenges in terms of agriculture and food, industrialization, renewable energy and exports. They also agreed on the importance of exchanging information and experiences between both parties, including through exchanges of visits.
