The Cuban ambassador in Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met with Mr. O.Batnairamdal, recently elected Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the ruling Mongolian People's Party (MPP).
The Cuban diplomat handed over a congratulatory letter from the Head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Emilio Lozada, for for his election as Party Secretary.
The two interlocutors discussed the current situation in their countries, the activities of both parties and the historical ties of friendship and cooperation between both countries and parties. They also exchanged information about the upcoming Asian Party Conference to be held in Mongolia this year.
The Mongolian party leader referred to the Revival Policy, adopted by his 30th Congress in December 2021, for the recovery and development of the country's economy. He also highlighted the priority that his party and the Mongolian government attach to fighting corruption and bureaucracy.
The Cuban Ambassador also explained the aggressive US policy on Cuba and the maintenance of the intensification of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States. The Secretary of the MPP reiterated his country's sympathy and support for the Island in the battle against the blockade.
Both parties agreed that the two countries share some similar challenges and values and on the importance of exchanging information, experiences and visits between both parties and countries.
