The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met at the headquarters of the local Foreign Ministry with the Director General of the Department for the Americas, Middle East and Africa, Mr. Anand Amgalan and with the Director of Protocol, Mr. Munkh-Ulzii Tserendorj to finalize the details of this country's participation in the Summit of the Group of 77 plus China (G77) on Science, Technology and Innovation that will take place in Havana on September 15 and 16.
The Ambassador deeply thanked, on behalf of the President Miguel Díaz-Canel, the Government and the people of Cuba, the Mongolian attendance at the highest level to the most important event of the G77 this year by a large delegation led by the President, His Excellency. Mr. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa and composed of Ministers, Directors of the Foreign Ministry and other officials.
The Summit aims to analyze and debate the main challenges and core issues of the development of Southern nations and the contribution of science, technology and innovation to sustainable development.
Mongolia also participated this year in the G77 Education Ministers' Meeting that took place in Cuba in the context of the international event Pedagogy 2023, with the presence of a delegation headed by the Vice Minister of Education and Science and the virtual intervention of the Minister of that portfolio, Hon. Mr. Luvsantseren Enkh-AMGALAM
