The ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer Rodriguez, was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Ms. B. Battsetseg, at the Chancellery headquarters in a frank, fraternal and friendly atmosphere.
The ambassador thanked the Foreign Minister for her kind words of recognition and confidence in Cuba for its election as President of the Group of 77 plus China and her good wishes for success in carrying out that responsibility.
The Cuban diplomat informed her of the priorities of the Cuban Presidency of the G 77, including international and South-South cooperation and the upcoming activities planned this year.
He assured her of Cuba's traditional commitment to defending the interests of developing countries, including those of groups of countries in special situations, such as landlocked countries, including Mongolia.
The ambassador thanked the virtual participation of the Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia, Hon. Mr. L. Enkh-AMGALAN at the meeting of Ministers of Education of the G77 plus China that will take place in Cuba. He also recognized the attendance of the Mongolian delegation headed by Vice Minister of Education and Science G. Ganbayar at the international event "Pedagogy 2023" to be held in Havana next week.
Likewise, he reiterated the gratitude of the Cuban foreign minister, the government and the people for the traditional support of Mongolia for the resolution in the UN General Assembly against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade.
