The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia met with the President of the Union of Mongolia Artists

The Cuban ambassador in Mongolia. Jorge Ferrer met at the embassy with the creator Mr. Ganbat Purev, President of the Union of Mongolia Artists (UMA in English) and with the head of international relations, the photographer Mr. Batjil Bayar.

The interlocutors exchanged information about the visual arts and artists' organizations in both countries. The Union of Mongolia Artists is the main artists' organization in this country, bringing together about 800 painters, sculptors and engravers.

The ambassador shared information about artistic education, the extensive network of cultural institutions and international festivals of different artistic manifestations such as cinema, theater, ballet and music that take place in Cuba.

The diplomat informed them of the features of the Havana Biennials, dedicated to the visual arts of the countries of the South and their diasporas, which 15th edition will take place from November 15, 2024 to February 28, 2025.

The visitors also contemplated and received an explanation of the main artistic works of renowned Cuban creators that the Embassy treasures.

Both parties agreed on the importance of Art Biennials for mutual knowledge and friendship between peoples and the participation of one or more Mongolian artists in the XV Havana Biennial.
