Ambassador of Cuba participates in commemoration of the Day of the Defenders of the Russian Homeland.

Tehran, March 3, 2020. The Cuban Ambassador to Iran, Alexis Bandrich Vega, participated in the commemoration of the Day of the Defenders of the Fatherland, at the Russian Embassy in Tehran. In this way, Cuba pays tribute (anywhere in the world) to the Soviet fighters who lost their lives defending their homeland, but also to those who helped the Cuban people in solidarity. The importance and historical significance of the Great October Socialist Revolution, and the courage of the Soviet soldiers, who not only faced and defeated Nazifacist barbarism, but have been willing to give up their lives to defend the just causes in the world. The Russian armed forces make enormous efforts to maintain world peace and balance the planet, given the warlike attitude of the current US administration. Because of their firmness and strength, the Russian armed forces are decisive actors for maintaining order and deterring possible armed conflicts.
