Canberra, August 8, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to this southern country participated in an exchange with Assistant Minister Tim Yeend at the headquarters of the Australian Foreign Ministry. The meeting was motivated by the exchange with the Ambassadors of Latin America and the Caribbean with the working team of the Foreign Ministry that will be in charge of the bilateral relations and cooperation with the region.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador for Asia-Pacific Affairs and Economic Cooperation (APEC) Helen Stylianou and the new Director for Latin America and APEC John Larkin, as well as other Foreign Ministry officials. Both parties exchanged on the potential of the region to advance in the development of bilateral relations and cooperation with Australia.
