H.E. Ambassador Oscar León González was the key speaker of the art exhibition Changes of the International Artists Doha. Mrs María Al-Bader is the Chairwoman of the organization, which “provides its members with a platform for sharing experiences, learning from one another, and for interacting with any other artists around the world.”
Latin-American and Caribbean ambassadors accredited to Qatar participated with visual artists of different styles, techniques and nationalities, and Qatari personalities.
The Cuban representative praised the work of the artists and their commitment to society. To back the letter sentence, he highlighted the following examples: “support for the all-important role of the Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar; the promotion of values through the teaching of art; the reflection of daily life using recycled materials from the communities; working with children and students with special needs; supporting cancer patients and logistical support to educational centres for the benefit of low-income students.”
The exhibition entitled CHANGES is about the dynamics imposed by the COVID 19 pandemic that has forced humanity to make changes to face and survive the deadly virus.
In that regard, the Ambassador of Cuba stated: "Art is a chronicler of its time, and this is what we can admire in the paintings exhibited in this room, a chronicle of changes triggered by the pandemic from personal views and perspectives of authors of this exhibition."
