The Ambassador of Cuba Vilma Reyes Valdespino received His Excellency Mr. Tatsuo Hirayama, Ambassador of Japan in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with residence in Trinidad and Tobago.
The head of the Cuban Mission referred the strong ties between Cuba and Japan, that at the end of this year 2019, will celebrate the 90th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, and she recalled that the bonds of friendship between the two peoples, have more than 400 years, dating from 1614, when the Samurai Hasekura Tsunenaga, arrived at the Major of the Antilles heading the Keicho mission, considered the first Japanese diplomatic embassy that traveled abroad looking for the new horizons for the Asian Country.
The parties discussed the main aspects of the collaboration of both countries with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as the achievements and perspectives of cooperation in the different areas.
The meeting was held in a fraternal atmosphere.
