Helsinki, April 4, 2022.- While throughout Cuba the 60th Anniversary of the Union of Young Communists and the 59th birthday of the José Martí Pioneers Organization were celebrated on April 4, the Cuban Embassy in this capital received this Monday the main leaders of the Communist Youth of Finland.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Cuba in this Nordic nation, Beatriz Parra González, shared with the president of the Finnish youth organization, Bex Tapanainen, its Secretary General, Jiri Mäntysalo, and the militant Heikki Ekman, issues of the Cuban reality and young people communists from the Greater Antilles, to whom the Finnish organization sent a special message of greeting on the day of commemoration.

The Cuban diplomat also offered a detailed explanation regarding the effects of the US economic blockade on daily life in Cuba and its extraterritorial scope, which limits the actions of the Government, makes life difficult for Cubans and prevents the development and welfare of the country. For their part, the young Finnish communists shared insights into the recent elections held by their organization, as well as its relations, and addressed other current political issues.
