Ambassador of Cuba to South Africa meets with Zwelivelile Mandela, member of the Pan-African Parliament

Cape Town, February 11, 2023.- The Ambassador of Cuba to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, met today with the member of the Pan-African Parliament, the Honorable Zwelivelile Mandela, just 33 years after the release of his grandfather, Nelson Mandela , symbol of the freedom of the South African people. The Ambassador was accompanied by the Venezuelan Ambassador, Mairín Moreno.

The meeting recognized the close friendship between Mandela and Fidel, as well as the close and historic relations that unite Cuba and South Africa. In addition, the deepening of ties between the African country and the Latin American and Caribbean region was advocated.
