Ambassador of Cuba to South Africa received the Chief Director from the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.

Pretoria, February 22, 2023.- The Ambassador of Cuba to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, held a fruitful exchange with Charles Mabaso, Chief Director from the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture of South Africa. Dan Chiorboli, recognized South African musician and producer and Lauren Luis, in charge of Press and Cultural Affairs at the Embassy also participated in the meeting.

The Ambassador highlighted the history and cultural heritage South Africans and Cubans share and advocated for the strengthening of the bilateral ties in this field. Mabaso, for his side, spoke about his visit to Cuba last September, during which he could check closely how African culture is kept alive in Cuba.
