April 20, 2023.- The Ambassador of Cuba to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, paid a visit to the University of Venda, as part of the program of activities that he carries out in the province of Limpopo.
The Ambassador held a productive meeting with the vice-chancellor, Dr. Bernard Nthambeleni, and part of the University management. In the exchange, the potential to develop and strengthen bilateral ties between this university and its Cuban counterparts was recognized.
After the meeting, the Ambassador delivered a lecture about the legacy of Fidel Castro and the role of global South in international solidarity and struggle against imperialism to the university community. There was also space for exchange on the current situation in Cuba and the impact of the blockade as the main obstacle to the development of the Cuban people.
