Ambassador of Cuba visits AMWU headquarters in the State of Victoria

Melbourne, July 31, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba and young representatives of ICAP and CIM, Ivan Barreto and Marianniz Díaz, visited today the headquarters of the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union. The visit included a meeting with representatives of that Australian union organization.

The Ambassador was received by Tony Mavromatis, Secretary of the Union in the State of Victoria. In the exchange, topics of common interest were addressed, in particular the cooperation between the Australian Union and the counterpart union organizations in Cuba.

The diplomat thanked the warm welcome and the meeting.
