Helsinki, September 6, 2023.- The Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, held a meeting this Wednesday, with Jiri Mantysalo, Vice President of the Communist Party of Finland (SKP according to its acronym in Finnish).
In the exchange, the Cuban diplomat updated the partisan leader on current national issues on the Island, indicating the impact of the embargo on the daily life of the people and the scope of Cuba's inclusion on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, the main obstacle for the country's trade with the rest of the world.
The Caribbean representative thanked the accompaniment of the SKP in the permanent denunciation against the blockade of Cuba.
She also referred to the holding on September 15 and 16 in Havana, of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77 plus China, which will have as its theme "Current development challenges: role of the science, technology and innovation".
