Ulan Bator. June 22, 2018. The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Raúl Delgado Concepción held a meeting today with the three young Mongolians selected for further studies on the island as part of the cooperation program that Cuba offers annually to this Asian nation.

The three young students accompanied by their relatives visited the Cuban diplomatic mission to receive the ballots that accredit them as beneficiaries of the scholarship for free higher education studies in Cuba. In the meeting that served as a farewell, the young people were able to see the effort made by the Caribbean nation to welcome thousands of young people from many countries as a modest contribution to the formation of their human resources of these nations. During the celebration the Ambassador was interviewed by the national television network MNB where he could point out that these scholarships for studies in higher education contribute directly to the development of human resources in Mongolia and other third world countries. He also pointed out that this modest but important contribution of Cuba to these brother countries is part of the ideology and the immense work of solidarity created by our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.

In 59 years of the Revolution, more than 160 young people from Mongolia have graduated in Cuba in different specialties, including medicine, stomatology, engineering, pharmacy and sports among other specialties. On this occasion two of the three young people will study medicine and one of them will study informatic engineering, joining the group of 16 young people who are currently studying on the island.
