API Agency interviews Cuban Ambassador

Kingstown, May 22, 2024. - On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Agency for Public Information (API) interviewed the Cuban Ambassador, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, where different topics were addressed.

The Cuban diplomat expressed that it is a great honour to represent Cuba in this sister nation with which there are historic ties of friendship and cooperation in areas such as Health and Education and assured that he intends and will continue to strengthen them, and increasing bilateral collaboration in all possible areas. He also recalled with pride the several official visits by Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves to Cuba and the two visits by President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez to Kingstown, the most recent one to take part in the VIII CELAC Summit.

In this regard, the Ambassador announced the start of new joint projects in the areas of agriculture, fishing, energy and education, with the direct involvement of Cuban specialists.

The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Cuban community and to the members of the solidarity movement in this nation, for their permanent support to Cuba along these 32 years.
