Within the framework of the G77 and China Summit, which concluded in Havana this weekend, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, received several personalities, among them the president of Mongolia, His Excellency. Mr. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.
During the meeting with the Mongolian leader, Raúl Castro's visit to this Asian country in 1970 was recalled and the will to continue strengthening bilateral relations was reiterated, guided by friendly and historical ties that unite Mongolia and Cuba.
The two countries established diplomatic relations on December 7, 1960 and opened their respective embassies in Havana and Ulaanbaatar in 1962. Since then they have maintained uninterrupted relations of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation.
