Kingstown, September 15, 2025 — A team of five Cuban engineers arrived in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to join the expansion and modernization works at the Argyle International Airport (AIA).
The delegation, led by the director general of the Cuban Airports and Air Services Company (ECASA), Juan Carlos Quintana Gorina, was welcomed at the airport by AIA’s CEO, Josette Greaves, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.
This new bilateral cooperation project is a clear reflection of the ongoing strengthening of relations between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as the diversification of the areas in which collaboration is taking place.
The expertise of the Cuban engineers will contribute to enhancing Vincentian airport infrastructure, with the aim of ensuring a more efficient, modern, and secure service (Cuban Embassy to St. Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
