On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, the Association of Mongolians graduated in Cuba congratulates the Cuban government and people; reiterates its solidarity with Cuba and wish them health, prosperity and new successes in their sustainable development for 2023.
Thanks to the victory of January 1, 1959, Cuba established universal and free education and the scholarship program for students from developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, under which some 150 Mongolians have graduated. as professionals in Cuban universities from 1963 to the present. We do not forget and we are grateful for that solidarity and friendly gesture from Cuba.
We regret that the Cuban people continue to be subjected to the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States, intensified in recent years with more than 245 measures that are still being applied, which affect the standard of living and consumption of the Cuban people.
We reiterate that this is not a time for hostility, for inclusion in unilateral recriminatory lists, for harassment, or for blockades, but for the political solution of differences, peace, friendship and cooperation between neighbor countries to face the common challenges that affect the world. The blockade against Cuba must end, as the United Nations General Assembly has requested for 30 years by the vote of the overwhelming majority of the countries of the world, including Mongolia.
