Ulaanbaatar. June 12, 2020. Association of Mongolian Graduates in Cuba held its annual balance and work schedule meeting this Friday. With the presence of a large group of its members, the graduates in Cuba analyzed the broad plan of activities carried out during 2019 and the beginning of 2020, and elected their board of directors for the next period of work.
Re-elected as President of the Association for this new period, Ing. Ganbayar Ganbaatar discussed with the members present the activities carried out, as well as the new plan proposed for the following period 2020-2021. The new period includes cultural activities, voluntary work and social activities of aid and solidarity in the different specialties from which they are graduates.
With constant work, the young graduates of Cuba developed during 2019 numerous activities that included voluntary works of waste collection in national parks, attended the activities of School No. 52 "José Martí", planting trees commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Mongolia in the National Park of Ulaanbaatar, blood donations, among others.
Ambassador Raúl Delgado addressed the members of the Association at the beginning of the meeting to update them on the difficult situation that Cuba is going through as a result of the intensification of the criminal blockade imposed by the current administration of United States of America. He also highlighted the efforts that the Cuban government and people are taking on the battle against the COVID 19 pandemic, not only in our country but also with its cooperation with other countries by sending numerous medical brigades to different countries to combat this disease. The Cuban diplomat thanked the sustained support of these young professionals to the battle that Cuba fights for the elimination of the North American blockade on the island, as well as their interest in maintaining friendly ties with the Cuban people and government.
