Melbourne, 4 April 2024. A group of Melbourne teachers, members of the Australian Education Union, started their school vacations with a show of support for Cuba and the struggle of the Cuban people against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States.
The teachers denounced the immoral inclusion of Cuba on the list of state sponsors of terrorism and described as "hypocritical" the measures adopted by the U.S. government against Cuba. They also emphasized the fact that every year, the great majority of countries, including Australia, vote in favor of the Cuban resolution against the blockade in the United Nations.
They also highlighted Cuba's altruistic work and the various displays of solidarity over the years, including the sending of Cuban doctors and teachers to different parts of the world.
