Authorities of the Kingdom of Eswatini recognize the work of Cuban medical brigade

Mbabane, November 28, 2018.- In a meeting held by the Ambassador of Cuba in that country, Rodolfo Benítez Verson, with the Acting Health Minister of Eswatini, Sen. Moses Vilakati, and the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom, Dr. Simón M. Zwane, the authorities of Eswatini recognized and thanked effusively the work done by the Cuban medical brigade in the country, with exceptional results.

The Minister expressed the affection and admiration felt by the Swazi people towards Cuban doctors for the seriousness, professionalism and affection with which they dedicate themselves to their work in the most remote places of the smallest country in Africa.

The Cuban Ambassador reiterated the will of the Cuban government to continue supporting Eswatini in the sphere of public health. Both parties exchanged plans to expand this bilateral cooperation, with more Cuban doctors or through the specialization in Cuba of Swazi medical professionals.

The Head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, Dr. Raquel Toledo Padilla and other officials of the Cuban Embassy also participated in the meeting.
