The automatic and free of charge extensión of the uninterrupted stay abroad of Cubans  residing in the national territory, beyond 24 months, without implying loss of resident status in the country, remains in force until further notice.

This was confirmed on Twitter by Ernesto Soberón, general director of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad (Daccre), of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Likewise, the possibility of returning to Cuba, exceptionally and for one time, with an expired and unextended passport, is maintained for residents of the national territory who were outside the Island on March 19, 2020 and still They have not returned to Cuba.
