Ulaanbaatar. February 10, 2017. The School No.52 "José Martí" in Ulaanbaatar, hands over the prizes for the contest "The José Martí I Know" in the categories of Literary Essay and Drawings. Students from the 5th to 12th grade participated. The award ceremony was presented by Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción, who exhorted the winners to continue studying the life and work of the Cuban National Hero.
The winner in the drawing category was student L. Mandakhbayar and in the category of essay was awarded the work of the student B. Undraga. In the theater of the School was mounted an exhibition with all the works that participated in the competition which evidenced the knowledge of the students of that institution on the work of the Latin American hero.
Mr. Balgan Galdorj, Director of School No. 52, delivered to the Cuban Ambassador a copy of the winning essay written using the old calligraphy of the Mongolian language and a drawing with the image of José Martí made by the school painting teacher as a sample of gratitude to the Cuban Embassy for their support and participation in this event.
School No. 52 José Martí organizes this competition annually with the aim of motivating in his students the knowledge about the work of the Cuban apostle, of which the institution proudly bears his name. Every year one student of this school is selected for his academic results to undertake higher studies in Cuba as part of the cooperation that our country offers to Mongolia.
