Beginning of the commemorations for the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Cuba and Mongolia.

On December 7, 1960 the Republic of Cuba and Mongolia established diplomatic relations just over a year after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution of 1959. Cuban foreign policy guided by the principles of friendship and solidarity with all the peoples of the world has maintained a close relationship with the people and government of Mongolia. From today and throughout 2020 we will be celebrating these 60 years with commemoration events planned in both Cuba and Mongolia that will include exhibitions, conferences, documentaries and other events.

The demonstrations of solidarity and mutual support between the two countries have been evident during these years in which the Government and people of Mongolia have supported the battle that our people wage against the US blockade on the island by voting in favor of the resolution of condemnation that it presents Cuba in the General Assembly of the United Nations. In Cuba, hundreds of young Mongolians have graduated in university careers as a sign of our selfless contribution to the economic and social development of this Asian nation.

The increase in commercial, cultural and educational exchange between both countries in recent years shows the willingness of both governments to continue expanding these relationships despite the geographical distance that separates the two countries. (EmbaCuba Mongolia)
