Botswana and Cuba, tightening parliamentary relations.

The Cuban Ambassador H.E. Patricia L. Pego Guerra paid a Courtesy Call to the Speaker of the National Assembly of Botswana, Honourable Phandu Skelemani.

In the traditional atmosphere of respect and friendship the parties discussed issues of mutual interests, to strength the bilateral parliamentary relations between both countries.

Botswana and Cuba have maintained excellent parliamentary relations at the highest level, including the exchange of delegations led by the speakers of their respective legislatives organs.

The National Assembly of Botswana always rejected the US blockade against Cuba, since considers it a cruel and unjust policy, condemned every year by the international community at the United Nations.
