Broad international rejection of the aggression against the Cuban Embassy in Washington, D.C.

In further proof of the admiration and respect that Cuba arouses, the rejection of the terrorist attack against the Antillean Embassy in Washington, D.C., on Sunday night, was not long in coming from various parts of the world.

The event was described by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, as an act of violence and impotence, which could have cost valuable lives. "Hatred launched last night, again, a terrorist attack against our Embassy in Washington," he wrote in his X account (formerly Twitter).

After denouncing the deplorable act, the president commented: "We expect action from the U.S. authorities".

The Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, recalled that it is the second one that occurs against that diplomatic headquarters. "Our resistance bothers them. Cuba strongly rejects all acts of terrorism," he wrote.

On the subject, the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Party, Roberto Morales Ojeda, said that it is "another action that adds to the lamentable list of aggressions against our country", and demanded, in addition, that there be no impunity.

The Government of Mexico issued a communiqué in which it strongly condemned the attack and expressed its solidarity with the people and Government of Cuba. It also reiterated its commitment to the fight against violence in all its forms, and urged a thorough investigation and to bring those responsible to justice.

The Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Alicia Bárcena Ibarra, expressed her solidarity with the Cuban Foreign Minister, and reaffirmed the commitment to the fight against violence in all its forms.
reaffirmed the commitment to peace and dialogue, and the repudiation of any form of violence.

"From Venezuela, we condemn this new terrorist attack against the sovereign integrity of Cuba, and we stand in solidarity with its people and authorities", wrote, on the social network X, Yván Gil, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in response to the message of his Cuban counterpart.

Representatives of solidarity organizations in the United States came to support Cuba in front of the diplomatic headquarters of the Caribbean country in Washington, carrying flowers as a sign of support for the island and broadcast messages against terrorism through loudspeakers.

The Bridges of Love and Nemo (No to the Blockade) movements also recalled that, while Cuba is kept on "a spurious list of promoters of terrorism, the embassy of our country in the U.S. capital suffered two attacks in this three-year period".

The same has been expressed by organizations of Cubans living in Argentina and Angola; also by graduates of Cuban universities, members of Cuban cultural societies in other parts of the world and members of Fidel Castro Chairs, Prensa Latina reported.

In a firm rejection of the terrorist act, the National Association of Italy-Cuba Friendship condemned, through a communiqué, the cowardly attack, and insisted that such actions are proof of the frustration of the most aggressive sectors of the Cuban counterrevolution, sponsored and encouraged by the U.S. government, which allows them to carry out such crimes with total impunity.

Since the triumph of the Revolution, several Cuban entities have been the target of similar attacks, and in the 581 registered events, 217 Cubans and 36 foreigners died. In addition, some 570 Cubans and 151 citizens of other nationalities were wounded or injured, noted Cubaminrex.
