Havana, May 20- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is lying about the celebration in Cuba of May 20th -- when the neo-colonial republic was established on the island.
On his Twitter account, the head of Cuban diplomacy stated that Cubans do not commemorate this date, only remembered by the anti-Cuban groups which, from South Florida and with the broad support of the White House, still maintain annexationist interests and domination over Cuba. "Secretary of State #USA is lying.
Cubans do not celebrate May 20th. It is a holiday only for those who have pretensions of imperialist domination over #Cuba. Check your history," tweeted Cuba's top diplomat.
#US Secretary of State is lying. We Cubans do not celebrate May 20.
That is a holiday only for those who live in the hope of exercising imperialist domination over #Cuba.
History needs to be reexamined.— Bruno Rodríguez P (@BrunoRguezP) May 20, 2020
