Brisbane, 1 June 2024. The third edition of the campaign “From Australia to Cuba with Love” began this 1st June and will run until 26 July 2024.
The campaign, coordinated by the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) against the U.S. blockade of Cuba, also seeks to raise funds to donate to projects on the island.
Participants in Brisbane braved the threat of rain and launched the campaign this Saturday at the city's Botanical Gardens.
During the launch, new participants signed up and the importance of ending the blockade against Cuba, considered “one of the great injustices of today's world”, was recalled.
On this first day, 138 km were covered and almost 1300 dollars were raised.
