Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, January 8, 2020. With the presence of the Member of Parliament and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, HE. Mr. Damdin Tsogtbaatar and the HE. Mr. Bat-Erdene Badmaanuambun, Member of Parliament and president of the Mongolia-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, was commemorated in this city, the 61st Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the two nations.
Present at the event were also the Cuban Residents, Cuban medical collaborators working in Mongolia, members of the Association of Mongolian Graduates in Cuba, the diplomatic corps accredited in Ulaanbaatar as well as a group of former Mongolian ambassadors in Cuba who recalled the experiences of the work done during their tenure in the greater of the Antilles.
The Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción in the official words of the celebration, outlined the immense challenge faced by the Cuban people during 2019 because of the resurgence of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States of America against our country and the additional difficulties faced by the Extraterritorial application of this criminal policy through the implementation of Title III of the Helms Burton Act. The Cuban diplomat also thanked in his speech to the Government and people of Mongolia, for the sustained support for the resolution that Cuba presents every year at the General Assembly of Nations against the US blockade against our country.
The Mongolian Foreign Minister on his speech highlighted the collaboration projects between Mongolia and Cuba in different areas such as health, agriculture, sports, culture, among others. He also stressed the importance of celebrating this 60-year diplomatic ties in 2020 and his desire to continue moving forward in bilateral relations in other areas of interest to both countries.
The prominent Mongolian Jazz Group "Pauzza" delighted the participants with their music who could also enjoy typical Cuban food and an excellent atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie result of celebrating 60 years of friendship between the two countries. (EmbaCuba Mongolia)
