Helsinki, 25th October. The celebrations of the Cuban Culture Week in Finland are successfully concluded after a program of activities in the cities of Helsinki and Tampere with the participation of Cuban and Finnish artists.
In the city of Helsinki there were presentations of the musical groups "Secretos de los tambores", "Son Candela", "Rumbaynama" and the dancer Jesús la Rosa. A conference on Cuban cigars was held, accompanied by a documentary on the life of the renowned tobacco producer Alejandro Robaina.
As part of the initiatives in the city of Tampere, a casino round was held in a well-known shopping center with the participation of the association "Azúcar", which received the recognition of the public present. On October 22, a conversation on the topic "Cuba in the time of COVID19" was held at the provincial library "Metso" with the participation of the Chargé d'Affaires a.i Noslen Ocaña Rodríguez in virtual format.
At the same time, in the framework of this event, the Folke West agency made a presentation about the Cuban tourist offer and the documentary on Cuban boxing "Los hijos de Cuba" by British director Andrew Lang was screened.
The celebrations of the Cuban culture day in Finland are very well received by the Finnish public with the participation of young people and children in practical dance classes and the tasting of dishes from the Cuban culinary culture. The Finnish-Cuban friendship association organizes these festivities with the collaboration of cultural associations and Cuban residents in the country.
