Canberra, 24 July, 2023. The Central Committee of the Australian Communist Party issued a message of congratulations to the people of Cuba on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada Barracks.
In the message the Australian Communists demanded the end of the US blockade of Cuba and the removal of Cuba from the US unilateral list of countries sponsoring terrorism as well as an end to its subversive actions against the Cuban people.
On this anniversary, the Communist Party of Australia also expressed solidarity with the Cuban government by denouncing the recent incursion of a US submarine into Cuban waters, demanding that the US end its illegal occupation of Guantanamo Bay and return it to the Cuban people.
