Helsinki, 19th September. - Chargé D’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba Noslen Ocaña Rodríguez participated as a guest in the Annual Assembly of the Finnish-Cuban Friendship Association, which was led by its president Paula Pere and attended by the members of the national board of this organization.
During the meeting the participants reviewed the initiatives carried out during the period and the work projections for next year. Likewise, they ratified their solidarity with Cuba in the midst of the hostility of the Donald Trump administration and their commitment in the fight against the illegal blockade of the United States against the island.
For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Noslen Ocaña Rodríguez made a brief intervention on the current situation in Cuba, in which she denounced the intensification of the US Blockade in the context of the crisis generated by the COVID-19 and the systematic campaign of discredit of the US government against the Cuban medical brigades abroad. At the same time, he highlighted the positive results of the Caribbean island in the fight against the pandemic and the joint effort of the population, authorities, health and science sector personnel to overcome the situation.
The Finnish-Cuban Friendship Association is a reference of solidarity with the Caribbean island with more than 50 years of constitution and an outstanding trajectory of support for the Cuban Revolution and its leaders.
