A charter flight arrived in Havana with the United States delegation joining the 19th International May Day Brigade.

The brigade members arrived in Cuba along with donations collected through a campaign organized by the National Network on Cuba.

The aid consists mainly of medicines and medical supplies for Cuba’s public health system. Part of these donations will go to healthcare centers included in the program in Cárdenas.

Statement from the organizers:

“Each year, the May Day Brigade brings hundreds of thousands of dollars in material aid, but this year is different. As the U.S. intensifies its belligerence to crush the Cuban Revolution, we also intensify our defense of Cuba.”

“We are sending a charter plane of aid. We will not stand idly by while Washington tightens its genocidal control, weaponizing hunger and economic war.”

“Our message is unwavering: We break the blockade and say NO to imperialist aggression. This campaign is a living act of international solidarity, a challenge to the Monroe Doctrine, and a rallying cry to defend the revolutionary achievements of the Cuban people.”

A gesture of brotherhood that defies the blockade. We thank every brigade member for this act of love and defiance.
